    Step 2: Acceptance Of Claim Request

    After the intimation of claim, you will receive a self-inspection link on your registered mobile number.

    Step 3: Assessment And Documentation

    HDFC Ergo will send a surveyor to the scene of an accident to assess the damage and provide you with a claim estimate.

    Step 4: Repair And Final Claim Settlement

    The insurance company will pay the claim amount directly to the network garage. Post the payment, you can take back the car after paying the necessary deductibles.

When someone purchases an insurance plan, he or she needs to be aware of the fact that passing a policy year without raising any claim can get them NCB benefit with which they can get their next year’s policy premium reduced. This benefit is offered in a percentage that ranges between 20% to 50%, where every claim-free year accumulates the discount rate. Only the premiums for standalone own-damage and comprehensive car insurance policies are eligible for the No Claim Bonus.

    If you want to hold and increase this No Claim Bonus benefit, you should always get your car insurance plan renewed within 90 days of its date of expiry with fail, as if you do not renew your car insurance policy even within the grace period after the expiry date, your NCB benefit will become null and void. To keep this advantage even if you get a new car, keep in mind that NCB is offered to the policyholder, not the vehicle, so it can be transferred to another vehicle or car of yours. To retain this benefit, you must refrain from making any claims in a year in which you must bear minor damages on your own.
