About National Insurance
National Insurance Company Limited is one of the oldest state-owned general insurance companies in the country. The organization was incorporated on 5th December 1906 in Kolkata. 66 years after its incorporation, the company was nationalized in 1972. It established mergers with 11 Indian and 21 foreign companies.

It offers two types of car insurance policies namely third-party car insurance policies and comprehensive car insurance policies both of which come at affordable premiums. Apart from car insurance, the insurer offers industrial insurance policies, personal insurance policies, and rural insurance policies. The brand is the first Indian insurance company to step into strategic mergers with India’s largest automobile manufacturer ‘MARUTI’ and the biggest two-wheeler manufacturer in the country ‘HERO MOTO CORP’.

National Car Insurance

The former is the basic and compulsory car insurance plan to carry while driving, which covers your financial liabilities towards a third party arising after an accident with the involvement of the insurer car, while the latter is a policy which is designed to protect the insured as well as his or her car from financial losses and damages after an accident or any mishap such as theft, fire, natural calamity or man-made disaster.
However, to enhance the car insurance policy coverage, one can purchase add-on cover(s), by paying a little extra premium amount, offered by the insurance company to ensure all-round safety when hitting the road. The add-on covers provided by the insurer are Nil depreciation, Nil depreciation plus for Private Cars, invoice protects, NCB protect, and engine protect. In addition to these offerings, policyholders can also achieve a No Claim Bonus as a reward for completing a policy year without making any claim on their own-damage premium, which they can avail during the renewal of the policy. This discount may accumulate with every claim-free year and range from 20% to a maximum of 50%.

Zero Depreciation Cover

Choosing a zero-depreciation cover ensure that an amount deducted due to depreciation of parts like rubber, metal, plastic, nylon and others are payable by the insurance company. No Claim Bonus Protection Cover

Key Protect Cover
Keys can be lost or damaged in a collision. Changing the lockset or replacing your car keys is expensive. With this add-on in hand, all your expenses are covered. Please Note:
- There should not be more than 2 claims in a policy period
- Claims due to theft and robbery of a car must be reported to the Police. A FIR copy must be furnished
- Loss or damage of the keys must be informed within 7 days
- Keys will be replaced only when damaged or broken. In case of theft, one must hand out the other pair of car keys to the insurer

Delivery Order Is Finally IssuedPost all repair works, a final survey is done. Soon after, the delivery order is issued
