    The Kotak General Insurance offers three types of car insurance plans namely third-party car insurance policy and comprehensive car insurance policy which protect the insured from third party liabilities as well as his or her car from financial losses and damages. Along with comprehensive car insurance policy, one can purchase add-on covers to ensure all-round safety when hitting the road. Some add-on covers provided by the general insurance company are zero depreciation, engine protection, consumables cover, return to invoice, roadside assistance cover, key replacement cover, tyre cover, personal belongings cover, and so on.

    Besides car insurance plans and add-on cover, the insurer also offers personal accident cover in case you sustain any injury while driving, mounting into, dismounting from, or travelling as a co-driver in the insured car. However, this coverage can be extended to secure other passengers travelling in the car as well. The company tends to reward its policyholders based on their claim history, where it offers them No Claim Bonus (NCB) benefit for not making any claim in the policy year. This discount is applicable only on the premium of Own-Damage cover, which increases progressively with each claim-free year up to a maximum of 50%.
