How To Make A Cashless Universal Sompo Car Insurance Claim

Step 1: Intimate Claim to the Insurer

It is essential that the policyholders intimate the claim to the company immediately. For this, you can either call Universal Sompo call centre at toll-free numbers on 1800-200-4030 or on the chargeable number at 022-27639800. You can also mail the i-claim form to the Universal Sompo contactclaims@universalsompo.com.

You can download the claim intimation form online by scrolling down Universal Sompo’s homepage and clicking on the ‘claim assistance’ link present under ‘claims’ section. After that, select ‘Motor’ and download the claim form.

(Note: In case of third party death/injury or theft of the vehicle, lodging FIR must be the first step and a copy of the same needs to be submitted to the company)

Step 2: Arrangement Of A Loss Assessor By The Company

After the successful registration of the claim, the insurer will assign a surveyor to assess the extent of damage and losses suffered by the insured car in the accident/mishap.

Step 3: Survey And Submission Of Documents

The surveyor will schedule an inspection and then the assessor will submit the report to Universal Sompo, you must furnish all the necessary documents to initiate the claim settlement process.

Step 4: Repair and Final Claim settlement

Get your car towed to the nearest Universal Sompo authorised garage where you avail the facility of cashless repair service. The towing charges are reimbursable by the insurer up to Rs 1,500. Policyholders can avail hassle-free The entire repair cost subject to the claim amount will be paid by the insurer directly to the garage. You only need to pay for deductibles - compulsory and voluntary (if opted for at the time of policy purchase).

How To Make Reimbursement Universal Sompo Car Insurance Claim

Step 1: Inform the Insurer about the mishap

The first step is informing the insurer about the accident/mishap as soon as possible. To intimate Universal Sompo about the damage suffered by your insured car, call their customer service toll-free number at 1800-200-4030 or chargeable number at 022-27639800.

You can also intimate about the claim by emailing the i-claim form available on Universal Sompo’s website at contactclaims@universalsompo.com.

Step 3: Towing Of Vehicle

Tow the insured vehicle to the garage of your preference or you can also request the insurer to arrange a towing service. The company will reimburse the towing charges up to Rs 1,500. Furthermore, you are required to submit all the necessary documents to the surveyor along with the repair cost bills.

Step 4: Reimbursement Of Claim

Since in this case, your car is getting repaired at a garage out the Universal Sompo workshop network, you need to make the payment to the garage and raise a reimbursement claim with the insurer. To initiate a reimbursement claim, submit all the documents including the original repair bills the company. The insurer will reimburse the entitled claim amount after factoring deductibles within 7 working days of receiving the documents.
