Future Generali Car Insurance Add on Covers
Future Generali offers a wide array of add-on covers which help you enhance the protection cover of your standard comprehensive car insurance policy. You can choose from as many as 10 add-on covers ranging from zero depreciation to lost key cover while buying or renewing a comprehensive car insurance policy from Future Generali General Insurance.
Future Generali - 10 Important Add-on Covers For Your Car Insurance Policy
1. Zero Depreciation
The cost of depreciation of the car is borne by the policyholder and not the insurer. This depreciation cost can result in a significant reduction of the compensation amount at the time of claim settlement. However, you can do away with this burden by purchasing the Future Generali Zero Depreciation add-on cover along with standard comprehensive car insurance policy. This add-on helps you get higher claim amounts. The cover is available only for cars up to 5 years of age and a maximum of 2 claims are permitted during each policy tenure
2. Return To Invoice
This add-on cover allows you to get full invoice price of your vehicle when it suffers Total Loss, Constructive Total Loss (CTL) or theft. Irrespective of what is mentioned as the IDV of the vehicle, you will either get a brand new model or total invoice price.
3. Lost Key Cover
This add-on provides indemnification for the cost of key replacement in case it gets lost or stolen. However, each claim is subjected to a 10% co-share of the value of such a replacement subject to a minimum of Rs. 500/- by the policyholder.
4. Protection Of NCB
This add-on helps you retain your No Claim Bonus (NCB) discount even if you had filed a claim in the last policy tenure. The retention will be carried forward to the next tenure and will help you receive a higher NCB discount for every claim-free year.
5. Personal Laptop and Mobile Cover
This add-on allows you to get compensation for the loss of personal laptop and mobile kept in the vehicle. Each claim of laptop and mobile is subjected to an excess of Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 500 respectively.
6. Tyre Damage Cover
This add-on provides cover for damages such as in-tyre bulge, puncture or bursting of tyres, cut on a tyre due to an accident, etc.
7. Daily Cash Allowance
If you opt for this cover, the company will pay daily cash allowance to you if your insured vehicle is out for repairs due to a road accident. The add-on cover is available only for cars up to 5 years of age and can be availed up to 2 times during the policy tenure. This add-on cannot be availed at the time of Total Loss (100% loss), Constructive Total loss (at least 75% loss) or theft of the car.
8. Engine Protector
This add-on allows the policyholder to get reimbursement for mechanical/electrical breakdown of the car’s engine.
9. Roadside Assistance
There are two types of roadside assistance covers- basic and additional. The former offers assistance services for car’s breakdown in case of a natural catastrophe as well as war/riot/terrorism situations. On the other hand, the additional cover, apart from covering all that offered in the basic assistance cover, provides a towing service up to 100 km range of the nearest garage from the breakdown site.
10. Consumables Cover
This add-on cover allows the policyholder to get indemnification for damages of items which have a specific use and are consumed during their usage. The list includes items such as grease, engine oil, lubricants clip, air conditioner’s gas, bearings, oil filter, fuel filter, brake oil, nut and bolt, screw, washers, etc.
