    • Does the Future Generali third party car insurance policy cover accidents beyond the geographical area?

      No, the Future Generali third party bike insurance policy does not provide coverage for any accident or mishap outside the pre-decided geographical area.


    • How the premium of my Future Comprehensive car insurance policy is calculated?

      The premium of your car insurance policy depends on factors such as Insured Declared Value (IDV), Cubic Capacity (CC), Age of the vehicle, Make and model of the vehicle, Geographical zones, Special discounts and loadings, if any, and No Claim Bonus.

    • What is CTL and how much claim is offered in that?

      CLT stands for Constructive Total Loss, i.e; the vehicle has suffered more than 75% damage and its beyond repairs. The claim amount offered in this case is equivalent to the Sum Insured.

    • How can I purchase a comprehensive plan online?

      To purchase the Future Generali comprehensive car insurance policy online, visit Future Generali’s official website and go to the ‘Buy’ tab. Click on ‘Car Insurance’ and select ‘Buy a new car insurance’ option on the next page. Enter the RTO, customise your policy and make the payment. You will receive the policy document instantly on your registered email ID.

    • Am I eligible to receive compensation if an accident occurs outside the geographical area mentioned in the policy document?

      No. No claim request is accepted by the insurer if the accident has occurred outside the geographical area. However, you can extend the policy cover to geographical areas not covered under a standard Future Generali comprehensive policy by paying an additional premium.

    Zero Depreciation

    • Do I need to pay anything at the time of claim settlement if I purchase a zero depreciation cover?

      Yes, you are liable to pay for the compulsory deductible and voluntary deductible (if opted) at the claim settlement.

      There is no fixed premium amount for every policyholder. The premium of a zero depreciation cover depends on factors like IDV of your vehicle, Age of the insured vehicle, and Model and make.

    • How much liability would I have to bear even after opting for zero depreciation add-on cover?

      Zero depreciation add-on cover only waives off the depreciation cost of the replaced parts. This means that there are still some liability in the form of voluntary (if opted) and involuntary deductibles, which needs to be paid by the policyholder.

    • What if I have filed a claim and opted for the zero depreciation cover and no replacement of parts was done during repairs?

      In such a case, the claim will be considered to be done without the zero depreciation benefits and hence, you will maintain the number of leftover zero depreciation claims as before the claim initiation.

    • Can I avail Zero Depreciation cover in case of theft of the insured’s car?

      No, you cannot avail zero depreciation cover in case of theft of the insured’s car.


    • How can I know which authorised workshop offer Future Xpress+ claims?

      The Future Xpress+ claim settlements are offered at more than 3,500 garages authorised by the company. To know the nearest one, you can call 1800-220-233/1860-500-3333/022-67837800.

    • I want to file a claim but the damage is minor. Does this still need an inspection?

      Yes, an inspection of your damaged vehicle by the surveyor is mandatory in every case. Inspection helps to assess the extent of damages and in finalisation of the claim amount.

    • What additional documents do I need to provide in case of theft of the insured vehicle?

      Apart from the standard documents and the claim form, you need to submit a copy of the FIR filed at the local police station. You also need to provide details of the witnesses, if any.

    • What are cashless garages?

      Cashless garages or network garages refer to those garages that are authorised by the insurer for the repair of a vehicle insured under their policy. These garages provide free repair and replacement services for the damages to the insured’s car and the insurer directly pays them on behalf of the policyholders.

    • How can I find the nearest network garage?

      You can find the nearest network garage from the “GARAGE LOCATOR” on the official website. You have to select the state, city, car, and area in the “GARAGE LOCATOR” to find the nearest garage.


    • Can I purchase the NCB Protection add-on cover while renewing my car insurance policy?

      Yes, you can modify, add or remove add-on covers while renewing your car insurance policy with Future Generali.

    • How much time does it take to renew my car insurance policy online?

      The policy is renewed instantly after payment of the renewal fee. The renewal document is also sent to your registered email address instantly.

    • What if I forgot to renew my car insurance policy on time?

      If you miss to get your policy renewed by the expiry date, you can get it renewed within 90 days from the expiry date after getting your vehicle inspected by the insurer. However, if you miss to get your policy renewed in this 90-day window then you cannot get it renewed later. In such a case, you need to purchase a new car insurance policy to keep your vehicle insured.

    • Can I update the contact details during the renewal?

      Yes, you can easily update your contact details at the time of renewal. Click on the “Nominee & Contact details” and make the required changes.
