How To Make Future Generali Cashless Bike Insurance Claim?

Future Generali General Insurance has introduced a claim settlement process for the bike insurance policy in the following simple steps to offer a hassle-free experience to its policyholders.

Step 1: Contact Future Generali General Insurance and Register the Claim

To initiate the claim settlement procedure, the policyholder should immediately inform the insurer after the incident, be it theft, accident or any damage to the bike. You can get in touch with Future Generali General Insurance by dialling 1800 220 233, 1860 500 33333 or 022 67837800. The call should be made within 24 hours of the unfortunate event of an accident. You can also SMS "MOTORCLAIM" to 9222211100. To intimate the claim online, follow the steps below.

  • Open the official website
  • Click on the “CLAIMS” option
  • Select “Report a Motor Claim” from the drop-down menu
  • A new page opens up, fill up the required fields and click on “Submit”.

You receive a claim registration number at the end of the process. In case of call or message intimation to the insurer, a representative calls back for the details and provides you with the claim registration number.

Step 2: Survey of Damages

A company surveyor is sent to assess the extent of the damages caused to the bike during the accident. In the case of third party property damage, provide its vehicle registration number. You can even provide contact details of witnesses if any as proof. The surveyor estimates the cost of repair and collects the duly filled claim form, policy documents and proves of the incident. The insured’s bike is moved to the nearest network garage.

Step 3: Claim Settlement

After assessing all the aspects, the surveyor gives approval. The insurer confirms its financial and legal liabilities and pays all the expenses of repair of the insured’s bike to the garage. The claim amount is calculated taking the deductibles and depreciation into consideration.

How To Make Future Generali Reimbursement Bike Insurance Claim?

A reimbursement claim can be registered if you can not find a network garage nearby or want to repair the bike in any other garage. The policyholder receives compensation for the repairs through a reimbursement claim. The process of placing a reimbursement claim is described in the following steps.

Step 1: Contact the Insurer and Register the Claim

You can initiate a reimbursement claim by dialling the official numbers of the insurer which are 1800 220 233, 1860 500 33333 and 022 67837800. In both cases, the representative reverts back to you and collects the details of the accident or damage and provides you with a unique claim registration number. Step 2: Survey of the Damages Incurred

It is advised not to move the bike to the garage before the surveyor arrives. The insurance company appoints a surveyor to check the condition of the bike. The surveyor produces an estimate of the cost of repair and collects the required documents, duly filled claim form and contact numbers of witnesses or photos of the incident as proof.

Step 3: Repair and Reimbursement

After the approval from the surveyor, the policyholder can send the bike to his desired garage. Submit the bills and receipts of repair along with policy documents to the insurer to receive the reimbursement. The company checks the details and finally disburses the claim amount taking into account all the deductibles and depreciation. The reimbursement claim is settled by Future Generali within 7 days of submission of the final bills.

Common Future Generali Bike Insurance Claim Rejection Reasons

Future Generali General Insurance has a set of specific conditions for the approval of the claim. The claim is rejected by the insurance company under the following circumstances:

  • Registration of a fraud Claim
  • Claiming wrong coverage amount
  • Misinterpretation of facts
  • Improper functioning of the vehicle parts
  • Driving without a valid license
  • Intoxication
  • Lack of details required to process the claim
  • Delay in intimation about the mishap to the insurer
  • Act of negligence.

Future Generali No Claim Bonus

Future Generali offers No Claim Bonus with every own-damage cover for two-wheelers. This can be purchased either as a standalone own-damage two-wheeler insurance or as part of a comprehensive two-wheeler insurance plan. This reward is only given for claim-free years as a token gesture made by the insurance provider for the policyholder’s safe driving habits. The No Claim Bonus becomes progressively higher with consecutive claim-free years, reaching 50% in the fifth consecutive claim-free year. However, the reward is disabled by any claim made by the insurance holder, no matter how minor. Thus, it is advised that customers only file for a two-wheeler insurance claim when the damage caused due to a mishap is significant.

Additionally, it is also expected that the customer maintains regularity in renewing their two-wheeler insurance policy to keep their accumulated NCB intact. If they fail to do so the NCB becomes inoperative. Insurance providers in an attempt to avoid such losses give their customers a grace period of 90 days from the expiry date to renew their insurance policy. However, if there are any delays after this mentioned period the policy and the NCB with it are cancelled. An added benefit of the NCB is that it can be transferred. Hence, if the insurance holder shifts to a different company or sells their bike for a new one the NCB is not lost.
