How To Make Acko Cashless Bike Insurance Claim?

Acko has a seamless procedure of claim settlement which is described in simple steps below:

Step 1: Contact Acko General Insurance

You should immediately inform the insurer after the incident, be it theft, accident or any damage to the bike. Click pictures of the place where the unfortunate event had occurred and collect the number of witnesses. They serve as proof when you register for the claim.

Step 2: Register Claim

A representative from Acko Insurance will contact you after the intimation. Submit the details of the claimable event (accident), upload the required list of documents and complete the bike insurance claim process to register the claim. The executive provides you with a claim reference number. You need to save it for further process.

Step 3: Survey of Damages

The insurance company will send a surveyor to evaluate the extent of the damage to the bike caused by the accident. To the surveyor, submit the duly filed claim form, policy paperwork, and proofs.

After assessing all the aspects, Acko takes care of the financial and legal liabilities and pays all the expenses of repair of the insured’s bike to the garage. The claim amount is calculated taking the deductibles and depreciation into consideration.

How To Make Acko Reimbursement Bike Insurance Claim?

If you fail to take the insured bike to the network garage or choose to repair it somewhere else, you can file a claim for reimbursement. To receive compensation for repairing the bike, a reimbursement claim is filed. The process of placing a reimbursement claim is as follows:

Step 1: Contact the insurer

To initiate the reimbursement process, you have to make a call on the helpline number 1800-266-2256 (toll-free) or 1860-266-2256 (chargeable). The call should be made within 24 hours of the unfortunate event of an accident.

Common Acko Bike Insurance Claim Rejection Reasons

There are specific conditions that can stand in the way of claim settlement with Acko. The claim is rejected by the insurance company under the following circumstances:

  • Intoxication
  • Act of negligence
  • Driving without license
  • Misinterpretation of facts
  • Registration of a fraud claim
  • Claiming wrong coverage amount
  • Improper functioning of the vehicle parts
  • Lack of details required to process the claim
  • Delay in intimation about the mishap to the insurer.

Acko No Claim Bonus

Acko Two-Wheeler Insurance offers No Claim Bonus to every policyholder with an own-damage cover for every claim-free year. The benefit is a gesture for acknowledging the insurance holder’s safe driving for that year. Moreover, the NCB is cumulative, hence every consecutive year the amount becomes higher reaching its maximum limit which is 50 per cent in the fifth consecutive year. The NCB, on the other hand, will be disabled whenever the policyholder files a claim, no matter how slight. As a policyholder, we recommend that you file a two-wheeler insurance claim only if the damage is serious and surpasses the NCB amount.

If the policyholder fails to renew their insurance, the No Claim Bonus may be lost. Because our lives have become so fast-paced and busy, forgetting the expiry date has become all too common. Insurance providers give their customers a grace period after the expiry date to avoid losses in such situations. The grace period lasts for 90 days and any delays made in renewal after this period leads to direct cancellation of the two-wheeler insurance. If the policyholder had any accumulated No Claim Bonus this will be lost with it.Lastly, the insurance holder should not be concerned about losing their NCB if they sell their two-wheeler and buy another, or if they change to a different insurance provider, as the NCB may be easily transferred.
