About Star Arogya Sanjeevani Policy Health Insurance

Arogya Sanjeevani Policy offered by Star Health and Allied Insurance Co Ltd is a standard product that aims to offer financial protection to you and your family in times of medical emergencies. A major highlight of this policy is that its premium can be paid on a quarterly, half-yearly and yearly basis. The policy offers protection on the individual or floater sum insured basis to people who are aged between 18 years to 65 years at the time of entry. Dependent children are covered under the policy with either of their parents.

Star Arogya Sanjeevani Policy allows you to include self, spouse, dependent children, parents, and parents-in-law for the sum insured ranging from as low as Rs. 1 Lakh up to Rs. 5 Lakh. It is a simple policy, yet loaded with essential benefits. Coverage includes expenses of medicines that you consume during the stay at the hospital, road ambulance service, cataract surgery, dental and AYUSH treatment and modern treatment. You can also avail tax benefit under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act.

  • Any self-inflicted injury is not covered
  • Expenses incurred on diagnostic or investigative tests
  • No cover for contamination from nuclear fuel or radiation
  • Treatment for any addictive condition is not included under the policy
  • No cover is available for expenses related to OPD treatment
  • Any expenses incurred on domiciliary hospitalisation are not covered
