Star Special Care Expert Review
Expert Review
The number of kids living with developmental disabilities like Autism is on the rise. But currently, not many health insurance companies are providing health insurance plans that cater primarily to such children. But taking a step forward, Star Health has come up with a different policy named Special Care Plan for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This policy makes taking care of autistic kids easy and less expensive.
Special Care Plan can be purchased on Individual sum insured type for a sum insured of Rs. 3 Lakh. Children aged between 3 years and 25 years can enjoy the coverage benefits under this plan for a policy term of 1 year. A significant advantage of this plan is that it does not require pre-acceptance medical screening. However, it asks you to submit a copy of treatment records undergone before from all the concerned specialists, along with the signed proposal form. So, it comes as a perfect solution for the unmet need for special children suffering from the disease. Besides providing cover for Autism Spectrum Disorder, the plan acts as a regular mediclaim policy.
