How to Download SBI Bike Insurance Policy Online Using Policy Number?

To download a copy of your SBI Bike Insurance follows the given steps:

Step 1: Visit the SBI general insurance website.

Step 2: Select the icon on the right-hand corner and a drop-down menu will appear. Select ‘Motor Insurance’ and then the type of insurance you have. For eg. ‘private bike insurance.

Step 3: Once the next page loads, the top middle of the page will have certain options, select ‘download policy’.

Step 4: In the page that appears, fill in your policy number, bike registration number or policy number and engine number and the given Captcha. Once you have filled in the details click on the ‘Next’ button.

Step 5: Your policy details will show along with a policy download option. Select it and choose where you would like to store the document.

Do You Need a Hard Copy of SBI Bike Insurance Policy Document?

Having a third party bike insurance is compulsory, however, it is no longer compulsory to have a hard copy of this along with your bike papers. The IRDAI has launched the e-Vahan Bima app with which you can scan the QR code of the policy and check it.

How Can I Make Changes in My SBI Bike Insurance Policy Document?

Endorsements or changes to the policy document can now be made online. Visit the SBI general insurance website and select the change policy details page. Enter your policy number and an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Once you make the changes, there may be an additional premium cost depending on the change you make.

How to Get a Hard Copy of the SBI Bike Insurance Policy Document?

You will be sent a bike insurance policy document when you purchase the policy. However, if you have lost it you can simply download the policy document online and print it out. However, if you want to do it offline the process is a bit more complicated.

You must notify the insurance provider about the loss of the document. File an FIR at the nearest police station stating the loss of the document. Next, you need to publish the loss of the document in a newspaper advertisement. Lastly, you will require an indemnity bond, this should have your full name, and signatures of two witnesses done on a stamp paper and acknowledged by a notary. After completing these steps submit the mentioned documents to your insurance provider and the duplicate policy document will be issued.
