Indian roads are encroached by shops, metro construction works, filled with pits, and crowded by auto-rickshaws, trucks, buses, cabs, and street vendors. It is thus mandatory to keep the inner door of tranquility open and maintain a calm mind to reach the destination safely. Some good ways to keep calm while driving on Indian roads are as follows:

1. Maintain Physical Comfort:

Before focusing on mental peace, it is important to stay physically comfortable in the car. If the seats are not comfortable, and the interiors of the car are not pleasing, then it is likely that one is already stressed. Make sure that the air conditioning is working, the seats are comfortable, the smell is pleasant and there are cushions at the back to drive calm and safe.

2. Maintain the Car Appropriately:

One has to make sure that the vehicle is maintained appropriately and is in good working conditions. When stuck in traffic, it is imperative to use brakes more often than the accelerator. Thus, it is important to keep the brakes, tire, and other components in good condition to drive in peace.

3. Follow Road Rules Vigilantly:

To drive in peace in India, it is important to follow traffic rules religiously. If the road rules are followed by all people on the road, it will end up easing unnecessary traffic blocks and vehicle congestions. Indian drivers always rush to overtake the fellow drivers and create trouble for themselves and others. Also, drivers have to follow the traffic lights and leave a way for other vehicles and pedestrians when indicated. Check for other indicators like speed limits, signboards, speed cameras, etc., while driving in India.

4. Sleep Well and Start Early:

Lack of good night sleep can make people grumpy on-road. Also feeling drowsy and tired while driving will slow down the reaction time. Also, stress while driving doubles when in a hurry. Thus it is important to start early from home, avoid traffic, and reach the destination within the right time.

5. Do Not Forget to Renew Insurance:

Insurance for the car is mandatory and beneficial to drive in peace. If something has to happen to the car or self on road, the insurance agency will pay for the damages. It also includes the damages caused to other vehicles on the road. Thus having proper car insurance helps to drive in peace and avoid any mental stress.
