      • How much sum insured amount offered under this MediCare Premier Plan?

        The sum insured amount offered under this plan ranges between Rs. 5 Lakh and Rs. 50 Lakh.  

      • What are the minimum and maximum entry age applicable under this plan?

        The Tata AIG MediCare Premier Plan offers coverage to people between the age of 91 days to 65 years. However, there exist no maximum cover ceasing age under this policy as it comes with lifelong renewability option. 

      • Does this Tata AIG MediCare Premier Policy offer any discount to its policyholder?

        Yes, discounts are provided on two grounds, i.e., policy term and family discount. A 5% and 10% discount on premium is given if insured opts for 2 and 3 years of the policy term. Whereas, a family floater discount on premium is provided for covering more than 1 member. It is applicable as:
        2 members -20%
        3 members -28%
        > 3 members-32%

      • Can I get the coverage for air ambulance under this MediCare Premier Plan?

        Yes, the plan provides the coverage for ambulance transportation in an aeroplane or helicopter, the cost of which can extend to a maximum of Rs. 500,000, only for emergency or life-threatening health conditions where immediate and fast ambulance transportation to the hospital or the medical centre for further medical management is required.

      • Does this plan offer the coverage for vaccinations? If yes, for which vaccinations?

        Yes, the plan offers coverage for expenses of vaccinations. This coverage is differentiated on the basis of immediate coverage and cover post waiting period. Here are the covered vaccines:
        a) Without any waiting period:
        i. Anti-rabies vaccine following an animal bite
        ii. Typhoid vaccination
        b)  After 2 years of continuous coverage:
        i. Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine
        ii. Hepatitis B Vaccine
