About Tata AIG Arogya Sanjeevani Policy Health Insurance

Arogya Sanjeevani Policy offered by Tata AIG General Insurance is a new standard plan framed by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI). It is an indemnity-based plan where the Tata AIG General Insurance provides cashless treatment or reimburses the actual amount incurred as expenses during hospitalisation. You can buy the policy on an individual basis as well as on family floater basis. In case of the family floater, the policy covers you, your spouse, dependent children, parents, and parents-in-law under a single sum insured. Anyone aged between 18 years and 65 years is eligible for coverage. Beyond 65 years, only renewal feature will be available.

Tata AIG Arogya Sanjeevani Policy also provides coverage for children (3 months to 18 years). However, either or both parents need to be covered concurrently. The policy covers children covered till the age of 25 years if they are financially dependent. The sum insured options under the policy start from Rs. 1 Lakh to go up to Rs. 5 Lakh. Available for a period of 1 year with lifetime renewability, the policy covers pre and post hospitalisation, AYUSH treatment, cataract surgery, in-patient hospitalization, day care treatment, road ambulance.

What's Included

  • Expense coverage for 30 days pre and 60 days post hospitalization
  • Medical expenses incurred for in-patient care treatment under AYUSH
  • Cataract surgery up to a limit of 25% of the sum insured or Rs. 40,000, whichever is lower
  • Expenses incurred road ambulance, a maximum of Rs. 2000 per hospitalisation
  • Coverage for all day care treatment procedures under the policy is available
  • Plastic surgery and dental treatment necessitated due to an injury or disease

What's Not Included

  • Any medical costs for OPD treatment and domiciliary hospitalization
  • No cover for expenses related to miscarriage or unlawful pregnancy termination
  • Medical expenses arising out of drugs, alcoholism, or substance abuse
  • Expenses for hospitalisation or treatment outside India is not covered
  • Treatment expenses for a weight management program or obesity
  • Medical expenses due to chemical reaction, nuclear or biological attack or weapons

A sub-limit of 2% of the sum insured subject to a maximum of Rs. 5000/- per day is applicable for room rent, boarding, nursing expenses under Arogya Sanjeevani Policy of Tata AIG Insurance Company.
