About Reliance Critical Illness Health Insurance

Reliance General Critical Illness Insurance is a critical illness health insurance plan. The plan is a fixed benefit plan which means that a pre-defined amount of benefit is paid in lump sum in case of a claim. This benefit is independent of the actual medical costs incurred by the policyholder. Moreover, the claim can be used by the policyholder to pay for the medical expenses or to meet any other expenses as per his/her discretion.

The plan covers specified critical illnesses, both life-threatening and lifestyle disabling in nature. There are three sum insured options to choose from and the policyholder can choose the most suitable coverage level. The policy also comes with a long-term coverage perspective as coverage can be taken on an annual basis or for a continuous period of three years. The premiums are not very high and the amount of premium paid also qualifies for a tax deduction.
