About Magma HDI Arogya Sanjeevani Policy Health Insurance

Arogya Sanjeevani Policy is a new indemnity-based health insurance product introduced by Magma HDI General Insurance for individuals and families. Under the policy, you can claim for hospitalisation expenses arising due to sickness, illness, disease, or accident. You are eligible to be the Proposer of this policy if you are aged between 18 years and 65 years. The good news is that the policy allows you to cover dependent children also if they are aged between 3 months and 25 years. Other family members who can be added under Magma HDI Arogya Sanjeevani Policy are legally-wedded spouse, dependent parents, and dependent parents-in-law. You can opt for sum insured options ranging between Rs. 1 Lakh to Rs. 5 Lakh (in multiples of Rs. 50,000) depending on your current health and other requirements. The policy comes for a term of one year, after which the policyholders need to renew it every year. There is a minimum co-payment of 5% for every admissible claim under this policy.    

Available at an affordable premium, Magma HDI Arogya Sanjeevani Policy covers the policyholders for several benefits. Cumulative bonus between 5%-50%, cover for modern treatments, cover for road ambulance expenses, portability benefit, free look period, grace period, cover for cataract treatment up to a specific limit, are a few to name. You can pay premiums for this policy in monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly installments.

  • Expenses related to OPD treatment
  • Expenses related to domiciliary treatment
  • Maternity expenses except ectopy pregnancy
  • Treatment availed outside the geographical boundaries of India
  • Surgical treatment of obesity that does not fulfil specific conditions
  • Expenses related to surgical treatment of obesity for listed conditions

Arogya Sanjeevani Policy FAQs

  • Who all can be covered under Magma HDI Arogya Sanjeevani policy?

    You can purchase this policy for self, legally wedded spouse, dependent children, parents, and parents in-law. Dependent children can be added only if they are aged between 3 months and 25 years. If the child is aged above 18 years, and is independent, then he/she cannot be covered under the policy in subsequent renewals. 

  • Can I buy Magma HDI Arogya Sanjeevani Policy on an individual sum insured basis?

    Yes. You can purchase this policy on either individual or floater sum insured basis. On an individual basis, the sum insured will be applied to each individual family member. Whereas on floater basis, the sum insured will be applied to the entire family. 

  • Is there any grace period provided under Magma HDI Arogya Sanjeevani Policy?

    Yes. The policy provides a grace period of 30 days for yearly payment mode. Whereas, for all the other modes, a grace period of 15 days is provided to the policyholders. 

  • Does the policy cover AYUSH treatments?

    Yes. The policy covers expenses incurred on Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Sidha, and Homeopathy systems of medicines for up to the sum insured limit.  

  • Can I avail cashless treatment under Magma HDI Arogya Sanjeevani Policy?

    Yes. You can avail the facility of cashless treatment in network hospitals under this policy. You can also avail the facility of reimbursement if required. 

  • What are the sum insured options available under Magma HDI Arogya Sanjeevani Policy?

    You can purchase this policy for sum insured options ranging between Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 5 lakh in multiples of Rs. 50,000.

  • Will I get a cumulative bonus under Magma HDI Arogya Sanjeevani Policy?

    Yes. The policyholders get a cumulative bonus of 5% for every year a claim is not made. This is subject to a maximum of 50% of the sum insured. Note that the bonus will reduce at the same rate in case you file for a claim.  

  • What is the initial waiting period under Magma HDI Arogya Sanjeevani Policy?

    To be able to enjoy benefits under this policy, the policyholders are required to complete a waiting period of 30 days from the date of inception of the policy. 

  • What is the policy term for Magma HDI Arogya Sanjeevani Policy?

    Magma HDI Arogya Sanjeevani Policy is available for a policy term of 1 year. The policy needs to be renewed thereafter. 

  • What is the free look period under Magma HDI Arogya Sanjeevani Policy?

    For Magma HDI Arogya Sanjeevani Policy, the free look period offered is of 15 days. The days are counted from the date of receipt of the policy.
