About Bajaj Allianz Arogya Sanjeevani Policy Health Insurance

Arogya Sanjeevani Policy offered by Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co Ltd is a standard policy. A new health insurance product launched by Bajaj Allianz General Insurance, it aims to protect you and your family from financial ruin in case of a health emergency. This policy is an indemnity based plan under which you can enjoy cashless treatment or reimbursement facility in case of hospitalisation required due to severe illness or accident. The policy covers medical expenses for infectious diseases and provides coverage for the people aged between 18 years to 65 years.  The best part is that the policy allows you to add your family members too and also offer you a family discount for the same.

Apart from self, you can include your legally wedded spouse, dependent children, parents, and parents-in-law. Remember, you can only include dependent children if they are aged between 3 months and 25 years. Sum insured options under the Bajaj Allianz Arogya Sanjeevani Policy range between Rs. 1 Lakh to Rs. 5 Lakh which the policyholders can choose as per their requirements. Available for a term of one year, the policy offers many benefits to the policyholders. Some of this includes cover for daycare treatments, in-patient hospitalisation expenses, free look period, discounts, AYUSH Treatment, cataract surgery, dental and plastic surgery due to illness. You can also enjoy tax benefits under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

  • Modern treatment methods for up to 50% of the sum insured
  • Road ambulance expenses for up to Rs. 2,000 per hospitalisation
  • Pre and post-hospitalisation expenses for up to 30 and 60 days respectively
  • Cover for inpatient care under AYUSH treatments up to sum insured limit
  • Cover for expenses incurred on cataract surgery up to a specific limit
  • Expenses for plastic surgery and dental treatment due to a disease or injury

What's Not Included

  • Treatment required due to participation in adventure sports
  • Expenses related to hospitalisation for investigation or evaluation purpose
  • Expenses incurred on cosmetic or plastic surgery unless following accident
  • Expenses related to surgical treatment of obesity if not suggested by a doctor
  • No cover is available for the expenses incurred on domiciliary hospitalisation or OPD
  • Expenses incurred on change of gender treatments are not covered under the policy

  • What is the minimum and maximum entry age for this plan?

    People aged between 18 years and 65 years can buy this policy. You can include dependent children if they are aged between 3 months and 25 years. However, dependent children are covered with either of parents.

  • What are the sum insured options available under this plan?

    This policy can be purchased for sum insured of Rs. 1 Lakh, Rs. 1.5 Lakh, Rs. 2 Lakh, Rs. 2.5 Lakh, Rs. 3 Lakh, Rs. 3.5 Lakh, Rs. 4 Lakh, Rs. 4.5 Lakh, and Rs. 5 Lakh.

    Yes. The policyholders are offered a family discount of 10% if 2 family members are covered and 15% if more than two members are covered under the policy.

    The policy is renewable for a lifetime.

  • Is there any co-payment clause under this policy?

    Yes. A co-payment of 5% is applicable to every admissible claim under this policy. 

  • Is there any sub-limit applicable to road ambulance under this policy?

    Yes. This policy covers road ambulance expenses for up to Rs. 2,000 per hospitalisation.

  • Is there any pre-acceptance medical screening required under this policy?

    Yes. Individuals aged above 45 years are required to go for pre-acceptance medical screening at network facilities.

    Yes. You can pay the premium for this policy on monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, or annual instalments.
