About Bajaj Allianz Silver Health Insurance

Bajaj Allianz Silver Health Policy is a special medical insurance policy dedicated to meet the health insurance coverage requirements of senior citizens. It offers you cashless benefits or reimbursement for hospitalisation expenses due to illness or an accident. Available with sum insured options of Rs. 50,000, Rs. 1 Lakh, Rs. 1.5 Lakh, Rs. 2 Lakh, Rs. 3 Lakh, Rs. 4 Lakh, and Rs. 5 Lakh, the policy covers you and your spouse for expensive medical treatments. It is an annual policy that needs to be renewed after that in order to continue availing of coverage benefits under it. You can avail of coverage benefits under this policy if you are aged between 46 years and 70 years. A thing to note is that this policy comes with a co-payment of 20% that is admissible to be paid in case the treatment is availed at a non-network hospital. However, you can purchase a waiver of co-payment by paying an additional premium at the time of policy purchase.

The policy covers you for several healthcare expenses such as in-patient hospitalisation expenses, pre-hospitalisation and post-hospitalisation expenses, road ambulance expenses, daycare procedures, pre-existing illnesses, etc. But to be covered under this policy avail coverage benefits, you must undergo a pre-medical test, which is mandatory for all the proposals. Apart from these coverage benefits, the policy offers you several other advantages as well.
