How to Pay For Traffic Fines in Delhi 

You can pay your traffic challan in Delhi online, either through the official Delhi Traffic Police website or through the Tatpar Delhi Police App. The below section represents a step-by-step guide to paying traffic fines in Delhi through each of the processes. 

Pay the Fine Using the Tatpar App: 

  1. Download and install the Tatpar app on your phone. 
  2. Open the application and enter your mobile number. 
  3. An OTP will be sent to your mobile number for the verification. 
  4. Complete the verification process and you will redirected to the home page of Tatpar app. 
  5. Select “traffic notice payment” option. 
  6. Click on e-challan available on a newly opened page. 
  7. Enter either your vehicle number or notice number to check all the challans for your vehicle. 
  8. Once displayed, you can click on a traffic fine imposed on your vehicle and continue to payment process. 

Pay the Fine Using Delhi Traffic Police Website: 

  1. Browse the Delhi traffic police website. 
  2. Click on “pending notices,” available under the menu section. 
  3. Enter either your vehicle registration number or notice number to get a list of all traffic challans for your vehicle. 
  4. Choose a pending notice and click on”pay now” to make a payment for a traffic fine.
  5. Once you’ve completed your payment, a confirmation message will appear on your screen.

Anyone who fails to pay a traffic fine in Delhi by the due date may be required to appear in court to complete the payment. Alternatively, a traffic police officer may also visit your residence to collect the fine.

Yes, it is mandatory by law to wear a helmet for both the driver and the pillion rider while riding on a two-wheeler. If any person is found driving without a helmet in Delhi by the traffic police officer, they may get penalized and have to pay a traffic fine.
