Using the FDA's Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) process, the first COVID-19 vaccinations were licensed for use in the United States in early December 2020. The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine obtained final FDA clearance for use in adults aged 16 and above in August 2021. All other COVID-19 vaccines available in the United States are still licenced for use in persons aged 18 and above under the prior emergency use authorization, with the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine additionally allowed for use in people aged 12 to 15.

  • By Getting Vaccinated
