Aditya Birla Insurance Partners with MobiKwik to Offer Affordable Plans

Aditya Birla Health Insurance Company has entered into a partnership with MobiKwik to offer affordable health insurance products to the customers.
Through this partnership, the partners have unveiled a Cancer Protect Cover that can be used by paying a yearly premium of Rs. 125 with sum insured option of Rs. 1,50,000. For greater sum insured options like Rs. 4,50,000 and Rs. 7,50,000, the premiums will vary being Rs. 375 and Rs. 625 respectively.
Some of the inclusions under the plan are-oral cavity, Cervical, lung, colorectal, and breast cancers. As estimated, these types of Cancers account for 47.2% in the country.
The Chief Executive Officer of Aditya Birla Health Insurance Mayank Bathwal says, “Through this partnership with MobiKwik, we intend to make health insurance affordable for millions of Indian families.” He shares, “We believe a convenient customer journey supported by accessible digital purchase, and a simple claims procedure can enhance customer experience, and that MobiKwik is the right partner in helping deliver a seamless customer experience alongside customised products.”
The Co-Founder of MobiKwik, Upasna Taku says, “Against the backdrop of the rising number of cancer cases, we have introduced affordable insurance plans for users as they navigate in their fight against the illness.” She says, “The Cancer Protect plan bolsters MobiKwik’s commitment to supporting India’s healthcare needs, and enables financial inclusion for millions of Indian families, threatened by any kind of cancer.”
Aditya Birla Health Insurance is looking forward to offering other health insurance products as well and accidental hospitalisation and heart secure on MobiKwik platform are one of them.
In September 2019, MobiKwik applied with the IRDAI (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India) for a corporate agency license.
