Read this article to know how to get NOC for your two-Wheeler

The abbreviation NOC stands for No Objection Certificate. It is used by Indian institutions and organizations to indicate that they do not object to the covenants of a document or application. When travelling by two-wheeler from one state to another for more than a year or 12 months, you must get a NOC from your Regional Transport Office or RTO.

Applying for a NOC for a bike online from an RTO and a bank follows a specified protocol. The following are the details:

From the Bank

It isn't a lengthy operation. All you have to do is go to the bank's website. Then enter your username and password to access your account. The NOC may be downloaded here.

If you are unable to download the NOC, you will be required to visit a bank location.

NOC for Bikes From the RTO

The only thing you have to do online is to fill out the application form. You must go to the RTO for additional instructions. The following are the deadlines for applying for a NOC from the RTO online:

  • Visit the website of Parivahan.
  • Choose your RTO and state.
  • Access Avail services by logging in.
  • A new page with the phrase "Application for NOC" will appear.
  • Select it by clicking on it.
  • Click on "Chassis number/Validate Registration Number" in the new tab. It will create an application form for you.
  • Fill in the details of your bike insurance. Examine the details that have been filled in.
  • You'll be prompted to enter your new RTO State Code.
  • Enter the information and then save it.
  • Pay for the application and print a copy of the fee receipt.
  • Visit the RTO with the NOC, Fee Receipt, and other relevant papers to continue the processing of your request.

NOC’s Validity and Cost

Just like your bike insurance policy has a defined validity time, the NOC for the bike issued by the RTO has a six-month validity period and the fee is determined by the RTO. The Bank's NOC for the bike has a 90-day validity period, which is also subjected to the bank's terms and conditions. And the cost is determined by the particular bank.

Papers Needed to Get a NOC

The following papers are necessary to receive the bank's and RTO's NOC:

  • A copy of the RC as well as the insurance policy.
  • Road tax evidence that is current and accompanied by a receipt.
  • Certificate from the PUC.
  • Print of the engine and chassis numbers.
  • Bank Documents Required.

Take Away

When you buy a bike, you'll need a few legal documents, such as a registration certificate and a bike insurance policy. Similarly, if you wish to transport your motorcycle from one state to another, you must get a No-Obligation Certificate from the RTO and the bank. Later in life, if you are involved in any legal problem for which you are penalized, you will be fined. As a result, be certain that your NOC is granted.
