As a significant step of a new clinical trial (backed by a global coalition established by India and Norway), US scientists have begun the first phase of the clinical trial of a new vaccine to protect against the novel coronavirus.
Researchers at the Kaiser Permanente Washington Research Institute gave the first shot to the first person in a test of an investigational COVID-19 vaccine on Monday. Those working on the development of the vaccine plan to enroll 45 participants in the trial in order to test the safety of the vaccine and its capacity to induce an immune response in the volunteers.
This is the sigh of great relief for everyone across the globe, as the Novel COVID-19 has claimed more than 7,000 people on the global ground as of now and continues to claim lives.
However, after the outbreak of the new virus in China and its spread across the world, health insurance companies in India have also started covering coronavirus disease in India. By the time the vaccine will be available in the market for general mass, it is advisable to take preventive measures and stay healthy.
