About New India Sixty Plus Mediclaim Health Insurance

Sixty Plus Mediclaim Policy is a tailor-made medical insurance policy that covers senior citizens aged between 60 years and 80 years, for several healthcare expenses. The policy can be bought for sum insured options of Rs. 2 Lakh, Rs. 3 Lakh, or Rs. 5 Lakh. The policy allows you to make cashless as well as reimbursement claims as per your convenience. In case of hospital cash, the insured will receive the amount as per the terms and conditions of the policy. The policy offers maximum coverage for the well-being of senior citizens by protecting them for various healthcare expenses including pre-hospitalisation and post-hospitalisation expenses, ambulance expenses up to a specific limit, attendant benefits, medical expenses for organ transplant, etc.

Apart from these benefits, you will also be covered for attendant benefit of maximum Rs. 800 each day or actuals whichever is less, for up to Rs. 5,000, Rs. 7,000, Rs. 10,000 per hospitalisation for sum insured of Rs. 2 Lakh, Rs. 3 Lakh, and Rs. 5 Lakh respectively. Also, the policy covers you for expenses incurred on health check-up, in case your proposal gets accepted. The policy comes with a mandatory co-payment of 10%. However, you can avail a discount on premium by opting for an additional co-payment of 10%. Other benefits include tax deduction on the premium paid for the policy under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Also, you can avail higher benefit if you buy the policy for your parents.
