About ICICI Lombard Personal Protect Health Insurance

Personal Protect Policy keeps your family financially secured in case you are not around. The policy offers accidental death benefit to the nominee in case the insured dies in an accident. The policy also offers Total permanent Disability Benefit under which the health insurance company pays 100% sum insured in case the policyholder becomes incapacitated, as a result of which, he/she is not able to earn an income for the rest of teh life. The policy comes with a variety of sum insured options-Rs. 3 Lakh, Rs 5 Lakhs, Rs 10 Lakhs, Rs 15 Lakhs, Rs 20 Lakhs and Rs. 25 Lakh which the policyholders can choose as per their requirement.

Personal Protect Policy covers you for different types of accidents like road accidents, rail accidents, etc. due to natural calamities arising due to terrorism or terrorist acts. The policy can be bought by people aged between 18 years and 65 years. A highlight of the policy is that there is no requirement of health check-up to be covered under this policy. Also, the policy offers worldwide coverage to the insured. To be covered under the policy, you can pay the premium in installments as well. This will keep you at ease.

    The Personal Protect Policy comes with an add-on cover named Accidental Hospital Expenses Reimbursement, which you can include at the time of policy purchase by paying an extra premium. The add-on covers you for medical expenses arising due to hospitalisation of at least 24 hours due to injury, within 7 days of accident.
  • Accidental Hospital Daily Allowance

    This add-on benefit provides a per day allowance to you every day during hospitalisation after the insured event, not more than 30 days of hospitalisation and deductible of 1 day.
