• Oil And Filter Change

• Spark Plug

• Adjusting The Drive Chain

The chain tends to stretch with use which requires you to take up the excess slack with the chain adjusters at the end of the swingarm. This is how you can do it - 

• Measure the total amount of slack in the drive chain from a point between the sprockets on the lower run of the chain. 
• Slacken the rear axle nut to adjust the chain tension. 
• Using the adjusters on the ends of the swingarm will help you to adjust the chain tension. 
• Ensure that the wheel alignment marks are the same on each side and tighten the rear axle nut. 
  

• Check The Brake Pads 

Your brake pads are very vulnerable to wear and tear especially when used over a long period of time. This is mainly because of the amount of friction it is exposed to. Thus, it is important to regularly replace the brake pads to have an effective braking system. Most pads are accompanied with indicator grooves, a line or cutouts to indicate the maximum limit of damage. You must remove the pads from the caliper if you can’t see it clearly. 

• Check The Engine Idle Speed

Make sure to check if the engine idles at the correct speed when it is fully warmed up. The idle is nothing but the condition of your engine when it is running without you touching the throttle grip. Your engine runs at the idle speed when you start your bike. The general idle speed is between 1000 and 1500 rpm. Adjust the idle speed using the adjuster knob at the side of the carburettors.
