When you purchase a new bike, you would be issued a PUC Certificate alongside it by the manufacturer. It would expire every six months and you would need to get one yourself. This can be done at a licensed PUC Centre. The first step therefore is locating a suitable PUC Centre.

  • How To Find An RTO Approved PUC Centre?

You will need to find a PUC Centre that has been approved by your Regional Transport Office or RTO. The Parivahan App has been launched to help you complete this task. Navigate to the Parivahan website and click on “PUC Centres List”, enter your city and state, and you shall have in front of you a list of eligible PUC Centres.

  • How Is The PUC Test Conducted?

Visit the RTO approved PUC Centre. You will be required to pay a fee of Rs. 60 - Rs 100. This will depend upon the location of the Centre. The test will involve a scan of your bike’s exhaust pipe, after which there will be a reading taken of your bike’s emission levels. You will then be issued a PUC Certificate. It will contain details such as the level of emissions and the validity of the certificate.
