So Far 102 Infected With New Covid Strain in India

As per the reports of the Health Ministry, the total number of new covid infections has crossed the mark of 100 and taken a halt at 102 for now. The update arrives as the Indian government prepares to conduct the coronavirus vaccination drive in all the states and union territories.
The Health Ministry addressed, "Up to now, we have found 102 people infected with the new UK novel coronavirus variant."
All the people infected from the new covid strain are being kept in single-room isolation in designated healthcare facilities by respective state governments. Quarantine has been implemented over the close contacts of these infected people. Moreover, comprehensive contact tracing has begun for co-travellers, family contacts. and others.
The Health Ministry confirmed that genome sequencing on other specimens is being carried out. Moreover, the whole situation is under careful scrutiny. States are being advised for enhanced surveillance, containment, as well as testing and dispatch of samples to INSACOG labs.
Meanwhile, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India has reached the mark of 1.5 Crore Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
