Some of the prime features of the iSelect Star Term plan are:

  • Long-term Financial Security: The iSelect Star Term Plan gives you life insurance coverage up to age 80 years, thereby securing your financial stability for a long period
  • Spouse Cover: The iSelect Star Term Plan comes with the option to secure one\'s spouse\'s financial future by adding them to the policy.
  • Optional In-Built Covers: Accidental Death and Accidental Total and Permanent Disability are the two in-built optional covers that come with the iSelect Star Term Plan. These covers can be easily availed by paying an additional premium price.
  • Regular Monthly Income: Under the policy, the policyholder has the freedom to avail the option of receiving death benefit amount as regular monthly income so that they can get their family expenses covered.
  • Increased Cover: Under the iSelect Star Term plan, one can avail the option of increasing their cover by 25% every 5 years to meet their needs at different life stages. If a policyholder choses this option, their sum assured increases up to 100% of the original sum assured during the policy term.
  • Tax Benefits: The iSelect Star Term Plan features tax benefits in adherence to Section 80C and Section 10 (10D) of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

The eligibility criteria for iSelect Star Term plan is as follows:

For whole life cover as per Plan Option Life – 99 years;


For ADB/ATPD – 75 years

Minimum (Plan Option Life – 5 years, Other Plan Options – 10 years)

Maximum (Plan Option Life – 62 years except for Whole Life Coverage {fixed at 99 minus entry age}, Other Plan Options – 30 years)

Sum Assured

Minimum - Rs. 25 Lakh

Premium Payment Term

Limited pay/Regular pay as per the converge chosen

Premium Payment Modes

Yearly, Half-Yearly, Quarterly, Monthly

Benefit Payout Options

Monthly Income, Lump Sum, Part Lump sum, Part Monthly Income
