USGI ALLy - Universal Sompo Launches Customised Mobile Application

Universal Sompo General Insurance Company Limited recently announced a launch of USGI ALLy, a customised mobile application. Universal Sompo General Insurance is a well-renowned player in the health, motor, crop and auto insurance sector. It's India’s first successful PPP between Allahabad Bank, Karnataka Bank, Dabur Investment Corporation, Indian Overseas Bank, and Sompo Japan Insurance.
The launch of USGI ALLy is an effort to improve business processes and service delivery. Universal Sompo General Insurance, Deputy General Manager - IT, Mr. Anupam Singh said that the launch is a step to offer seamless and customer-rich experience. He further added that this personalised platform would provide hassle-free policy issuance, claim settlement and various other insurance-related services. He is of the view that this will improve their digitalisation by 25% to 30%.
USGI ALLy app comes loaded with various rich and customer-friendly features. The main features of the app for motor and health insurance users are:
- With the help of ‘Insurance Wallet’ feature one can easily manage policy renewal, claim status, claim intimation and alerts
- ‘My Policy’ feature allows one to get all the details about the policy
- ‘Renew Policy’ feature allows the instant renewal of health and motor policy
- ‘Intimate Claim and Claim Status’ offers ready to use claim intimation and claim status through audio/visual interface.
Universal Sompo General Insurance has been continuously focused on driving technological advancements and digital initiatives. It has already integrated with WhatsApp for sending policy copy to its customers. Last year, the company had even tied-up with PAYTM for its policy distribution.
